TIME IS MONEY!

In one of my previous post I mentioned how most of today's generation of players do not fully understand what it takes to maximize their potential....and I stand by my opinion. 

For those who have grand ambitions of going pro, taking care of their families and running their own empire the journey starts now, like right now! Most of us are not blessed enough to wake up one day and just be great. In fact, no one really so you have to invest in yourself and by invest I mean TIME IS MONEY! The formula is simple: If you put maximum TIME (and effort) into perfecting your craft, both physically and mentally, that work should lead you to the MONEY....and lots of it.

Think about this: the NBA is a multi-billion dollar business and growing. The league minimum salary for anyone on an NBA roster is around $490,000 annually (yes, even for the 19th man on the bench folding towels between timeouts). Although the odds of making this dream come true are very slim why not put the time in and roll the dice. I'm sure we all have pursued riskier things with a fraction of the monetary benefits. For example, the odds of winning the lotto is  1 in 175 million but the odds of a high school senior player making it to the pros is 3 in every 10,000. 

I don't know, maybe I'm just a dreamer but I always envisioned myself playing on the big stage but the money was just the icing on the cake. But if I'm a person who is driven simply by money, $500K for about 6-months work sounds real good to me. 

In the end deciding what you want is the really first mission. Doing whatever you have to to get it is the focus.
